Colombia | Popayan Reserve
Popayan, Cauca is in the Colombian Massif, upon a plateau located at nearly 1700 meters above sea level. The reserve of coffee comes the beautiful undulating slopes in the nearby regions, carefully and selectively harvested by a collective of 80 or so growers. Cofinet work directly with the farmers to cultivate high quality coffees for inclusion in the regional blends. Cofinet are encouraging farmers to experiment with different processing methods including natural and fermentation. Cofinet pays a premium based on quality to the farmers, often reaching 20% over market prices. This coffee is a great all-rounder. Fans of great Colombian coffees will really enjoy this one.
